Update: Sold!
A fellow named Karl contacted me to let me know that he’s selling his Westy.
He tells me that it has ~37,000 miles, brand new Michelins, and is in good shape. It’s located in Denver, CO. No pictures yet, unfortunately.
He wants to sell it very quickly so is asking $48,500. If you’re in the market for a Westy this could be your chance to get one below the average price. Give Karl a call at (phone number removed after sale) for more info.
We have one with a flawed origininal air conditioner. Do you know of a reasonable USA equivalent replacement? Ideally, we would like to replace the Euro AC unit with a low profile USA model and also put a “Super Vent” in the central overhead hatch/vent. Any information on how to accomplish these quality of life modifications will be very much appreciated. We are in central west Florida in the town of Gulfport. Thanks for your help.
Yes! I’m traveling right now, so can’t find the direct links, but check out the sprinter_westfalia group on Yahoo – a few people have posted recently about their replacements. Good luck! I’d wager that the majority of those original Kerstner ACs have either died or will very soon.
